Since the fall of 2007, when the Ministry Plan was approved by the Administrative Council, the Ministry Study Team has been at work evaluating our facility needs based on this Ministry Plan, and potential land for expansion. They have reached a place of discernment about our best option for expansion, and want to share that information with the congregation on January 18. They hope you will come and listen, learn and ask questions. Some important information for you to know as you plan to attend is:
• The primary building focus for this property currently is a ministry center, for fellowship, learning and outreach ministries.
• The process of decision-making will be outlined, including properties considered and excluded.
• Preliminary feasibility studies have been done on the potential property by Resource International. Their representatives will be available during this presentation.
• The purpose of this meeting is not to decide if we should purchase property yet. That step is much further down the line after additional planning. The Ministry Study Team wants to receive feedback and information from the congregation before they move forward with a master plan. It is their hope that this meeting will be a time to answer questions, generate conversation, listen to one another, and build excitement about God’s dream for Kenwood.
