As many of you know, the Selby family’s home burned down on Thursday morning. Mary Beth serves on Kenwood’s Finance Committee and co-leads one of our Brownie Troops. Sam and Erin are active in Kid Zone, Higher Ground and Children’s Choir ministries. We are grateful that the family is safe, and mourn with them the loss of the family pets. The Selbys are in temporary housing and hope to be in rental housing by the end of the week. Their primary need right now is for care and support, because they do not have a lot of storage space. There is a Facebook support group for them which lists sizes for them, as well as people who are coordinating various aspects of needs. We will keep you informed of specific needs in the weeks and months ahead, but for right now the best thing you can do is keep them in your prayers.
