Christmas Eve Service Parking

December 24, 2009

We hope you will join us for worship at 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. It is going to be a wonderful service, full of music and scripture and light. We have limited parking due to the snow mountains created by plowing, and want to make a couple of suggestions:

1. If you have a four wheel drive vehicle, there is parking on rapidly melting snow on the gravel area of the lot. If you feel comfortable, please use it.
2. Please consider carpooling with neighbors, family and friends if your car has empty seats in it!

New Sunday Morning Small Group Begins in January

December 15, 2009

It is important for people on the discipleship journey to be involved with a small group who can support their walk of faith.  For that reason, Kenwood offers small groups starting at various points during the year, and lasting different lengths of time.

A new Sunday morning Small Group study for adults will begin on Sunday, January 10, 2010.  The group will be reading the book The Hole in Our Gospel by Richard Sterns.  If you would like to keep the book after the study, the cost will be $10.  The Hole in Our Gospel is the story of how a corporate CEO faced the struggle of how to fully serve God, and what he learned in the process.   It is a compelling call to live a life of justice as a Christ follower.

To sign up, call or e-mail the church office (main@kenwoodumchurch.org) so that books can be ordered.  To learn more about the book, visit http://www.theholeinourgospel.com/.
