Acolyte Training for New Recruits & Refresher Course

May 1, 2012

Acolytes are an important part of the worship service because they bring the light of Christ into the worship service, and take it out into the world as the congregation leaves. At Kenwood, children and youth (second grade – high school seniors) are invited to become acolytes.

A training which teaches the symbolism and ritual of acolyting, as well as the mechanics, is being offered on the following Sundays at 11:15 am:  May 20 & June 3.  Please plan on attending one of these two dates.  Current acolytes are also asked to participate in this training as a refresher course.  Questions?  Contact Debbie Duty, Worship Ministries Chair, at debduty@comcast.net or 798-5191.
