First and foremost, we will do no harm. Each week, our Healthy Church Team re-evaluates the number of COVID-19 cases and positivity rates to determine how to best keep those in our community safe. We are currently holding in-person worship, but continue to offer online worship services through Facebook Live. Simply go to our Facebook page to watch there at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.

On June 6th 2021, we began holding worship services every Sunday in the Sanctuary again. We managed to remain in-person until January of 2022, due to a rapid surge in Covid-19 cases at the start of the year. Positivity rates have now decreased, and we have been holding in-person worship since February 13th.

Masks are optional, but we encourage those who are not vaccinated to continue wearing masks during service. We will be serving Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month. Details of how we maintain CDC guidelines can be found from the “Reminders for our In-Person Worship” section of the Home Page.

The following guidelines have been issued by the Conference in consultation with their medical advisors:  Fully vaccinated persons (per CDC guidelines, this is defined as two full weeks from the second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or two full weeks from the single dose of Johnson and Johnson). If you have any questions, please contact the office at main@kenwoodumchurch.org or (804) 798-7444.

Our Worship service is traditional in nature. We offer a variety of music ministry during our services, through our Choir, with our unique, small band, “In the Key of G”, and our Bell Choir.

The coronavirus pandemic has changed our usual routines in how we worship, but hopefully not your desire to worship. Our Pastor, Rev. Lisa Nordan, has done a wonderful job of adapting and making online worshipping easy for everyone. Simply click on the Online Worship button on the Home page and you will be taken directly to our Facebook page.  Or you can go to Facebook, like us at Kenwood UMC-Ashland, VA and watch any of our many Sunday Worship or Devotional Moments On-line. We offer a variety of devotional, inspirational ways to worship God wherever you are or whenever you feel the spirit move you. Have a need to hear God? At Kenwood UMC, you have many options to join us for worship!

To keep the word of God flowing, please consider making a donation.
