Connect

To help connect during the Lent season, please check our Facebook page on upcoming events “Happening Now” Sharing Lent with Family.

Every evening, except Sundays, at 6:45 we will explore Lent and create ways to remember what Lent is about. These devotions and activities are appropriate for ages 1-99. Join me for devotion, reflection, and ideas in how we can go about putting our faith in action.

We encourage everyone within our church family to gather safely, for study or prayerful devotions, or just to check-in on each other. How do we do this during pandemic times?

  • We offer a Sunday Small Group which meets via Zoom after Sunday Worship beginning at 11:30 a.m. If you are interested in joining the group, please leave a message with the church office.
  • We offer Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. If you are interested in joining this group, please leave a message with the church office.
  • Alice’s Food Pantry meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Several times each month folks gather for “Fellowship and Exercise”. This is a small group within the church family who gathers to walk, safely distanced, in the parks throughout our area.
  • We also offer “Joyful Moments” via email, allowing our members to stay in touch with a photo of where they’ve been, a new birth, a special moment or simply enjoying nature.
  • We have established a Pen Pal program between the older congregation and our youths.  This has proven to be a wonderful way for both parties to share thoughts, pictures and even little gifts of appreciation.

At Kenwood United Methodist Church, we realize the importance of maintaining genuine relational interactions in which we pray, study, and care for each other. Spiritual Friendships are relationships that are focused on supporting each other. It is our hope that lasting spiritual friendships may form that will extend long past our current pandemic situation.
